Adaptive Equipment Connection
ConnectAbility of MN’s Adaptive Equipment Connection is a grant and donation-funded program. This is an amazing program that assists with financial assistance to purchase needed equipment that is not covered by insurance.
These items can range from, but are not limited to: Sensory items, specialty clothing, adaptive devices, and assistive technology devices or programs.
Program Requirements:
To be eligible for the Adaptive Equipment Program, the following criteria must be met:
- Live in geographical grant-funded areas
- Have a financial need, insurance needs to be applied for first
- Have a diagnosed long-term support disability. Not a medical condition.
- Be able to contribute 10-20% of the total cost of the equipment (amount is determined by the AEC committee)
- Limit the application to $1000 or less
- Understand that an application may be fully approved, partially approved, not approved
- Non-name brand items may be purchased in lieu of requested brand-name items
- Abide by the grant reporting requirements
- Complete application
