What is Assistive Technology?
At ConnectAbility of MN, we have a dedicated Assistive Technology Lab where you can explore and try out a variety of tools in person at our Waite Park Location.
When we say Assistive Technology, we mean any device, equipment, software, or tool designed to help people with disabilities or limitations complete tasks more easily, safely, and independently.
These solutions range from simple, low-tech aids to advanced, high-tech innovations—and they’re not just for physical disabilities. Assistive technology can also support cognitive, sensory, and communication needs.
TechTuesday
Tech Tuesday is our monthly video series, released on the first Tuesday of each month, where we spotlight one or more Assistive Technology items.
In each video, we will demonstrate how the item works, explain its uses, highlight its features, and share other benefits.
Every item featured in Tech Tuesday can be tried out in person when you schedule a tour.
